So its happening,

This July, the coastal village of Canggu located on the south coast of Bali, Indonesia will host some of the world’s leading names in street art & graffiti for the 2016 Tropica Festival. Tropica Festival will be turning some of the unused walls around Canggu into works of art.

The main goal of the festival is to offer local & international Artists a chance to work and create together in the best possible conditions and raise awareness about environmental issues in Bali among the young generation and the general public, with the help of our local and international eco partners.

The festival has a line-up of both international and local artists who will paint murals, each in their own unique signature style over a 6 day period from the 13th -18th July.

The artist line-up features some well renowned industry figures, as well as some more up-and-coming names as well as some local Indonesia artists. Sofles, Vans the Omega, Roa, Phibs, Felipe Pantone, Beastman, Askew, Fintan Magee are just a few of the artists that will be transforming the walls of Canggu, with the end result being a collection of beautiful public artworks that can be appreciated by both the local & international community.

Tropica Festival wants to unearth new work on walls & buildings previously overlooked while also introducing a specific type of culture to the public and create a unique, first of it’s kind festival to Bali.

In addition to the painting of large-scale public murals, artists will also participate in a public art exhibition, artist’s forum, and a live graffiti art demonstration that will all take place as part of the Tropica Festival.  We will also organize a beach clean session during the event.

Australian filmmaker & photographer Selina Miles, along with photographer Henrik Haven from Denmark and all our media partners will be at the Festival capturing all the moments & highlights.

Please follow along and stay updated with all the live action at:  @tropicafestival & #tropicafestival.
