Summertime with Riz - The Way of Terje Håkonsen

Terje Håkonsen, a Norwegian professional snowboarder, sets the world record for the highest air when he achieved a height of 9.8 metres above the top of the quarter pipe at The Arctic Challenge in Midtstuen, Oslo, in 2007.


Born 11 October 1974 in Vinje, Norway, young Håkonsen was on the local downhill ski team and actually did pretty good at football. His friends even nicknamed him as “Little Maradona”.


Now, Terje Håkonsen is considered as one of the most influential snowboarders in the history and revolutionized the young sport of snowboarding in nearly every aspect of it.
