NK13 Custom War 2019: It’s A Wrap!

Once again NK13 Custom War 2019 event has successfully brought excitement to the motorbike custom culture. This 2-days event was being held from 11 – 12 January 2019 at Taman Festival Bali, Padang Galak Beach, Denpasar, Bali.

Taman Festival Bali is an abandon recreation park and has that mystical vibe. “Taman Festival Bali has a unique architecture, with its abandon situation, this place has offer additional value which will give a different atmosphere to Custom War 2019 compare with the last year's events,” said Rai Biomantara, one of the Custom War 2019 committee. In order to be able to hold the event, NK13 has cleaned up the area, both physically and spiritually, since November 2018.

NK13 Custom War 2019 was being held by Naskleng 13 (NK13) with Suryanation as the main sponsor.  200 custom motorbikes were being displayed during the event and people were keep coming to the event, despite the crazy heat which has been hitting Bali since the beginning of the year.

20 local builder from Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya were participating in this year’s custom war. NK13 also invited several builders from the United States, such as Max Schaaf, skateboarder and chopper builder; Yaniv Evan from Powerplant Motorcycle, Cristian Sosa, builder and metal shaper, and some invited guests from Japan.

Not just a custom motorbike’s exhibition, this year’s custom war also held several side events to attract more communities. From 9 – 10 January, NK13 Custom War 2019 held a surfing contest at Muara Beach, Banjar Tangtu, a collaboration with the Sanuri local surfing community and skate jam with the Denpasar skateboarding community. There was also the participation of the analog photography community, tattoo, illustration, die-cast, action figure community, local clothing, the independent musician community, music collector, and the street art community. They were all displaying their latest activities and projects during the event.

The heavy cloud poured little rains while the heat was high, but visitors of the NK13 Custom War 2019 kept coming and enjoyed the event till the night came with the music performance from Fick Dich, Mort, Roots Radical, and The Fathers. The event closed with the performance of Navicula, one of the respected bands in Bali.
